set of 4 glass salt & peppers with classic silverplate topsClassically designed to complement any modern or traditional dinnerware and flatware, these four Towle shakers are each identical and hold either salt or pepper. Elegant yet simple, the fluted glass bases flare for stability while the pointed, silver-plated tops with side holes screw on and off for refilling. A delicate finial adorns the peak of each one. If cleaning is needed, the glass bases are dishwasher-safe, though the silver-plated tops should be washed and dried by hand. A little silver polish keeps the tarnish at bay.
The renowned Towle silversmith company dates its humble beginnings to 1690 by the banks of the Merrimack River in Massachusetts. Today the company, owned by the Syratech Corporation, continues to produce table and home décor items in not only ornate traditional patterns but quite modern ones, in stainless steel as well as sterling silver and silver-plate.
